Public screening of A Stem Cell Story and open meeting
Hydra, Greece

19 September 2006

On Tuesday 19 September, more than 40 locals and holidaymakers came along to the Bratsera Hotel on the Greek island of Hydra, to watch EuroStemCell's award-winning movie, A Stem Cell Story, and meet some of the scientists working at the cutting-edge of stem cell research.

After the screening (subtitled in Greek), members of the audience posed their questions about the prospects for stem cell research in diseases like diabetes and Parkinson's to the assembled scientists, on the island for EuroStemCell's annual summer school. Lively discussion continued over drinks.
