The leading European Summer School on stem cell biology

All applicants have now been notified of their application outcome.



This summer school will provide a critical analysis of contemporary issues in stem cell biology. During the in-depth, week-long programme, participants will attend lectures and workshops on

  • The biology of stem cells - embryonic, fetal and adult systems
  • Plasticity, epigenetic regulation, signaling and niche
  • Clinical applications and clinical trials
  • Ethics and patents in stem cell research

Who can apply?
The summer school is open to postgraduate research students, postdoctoral researchers, senior researchers, clinical training fellows and technicians from universities, research institutes and industry, working in stem cell biology or related fields.

How to apply
Application has closed.
Successful applicants will be notified early July.

Course fees 
The fee for non-EuroStemCell researchers is €650. This fee includes tuition, materials, and some meals. You will be responsible for making your own arrangements for travel, accommodation and meals not detailed in the programme. Information to help you choose your own accommodation will be posted on this site.

Bursaries
Up to two bursaries will be awarded to applicants studying/working in EU new member states, candidate countries or international cooperation partner countries (ICPCs). These bursaries will cover accommodation costs in Hydra, and registration fees. Bursary recipients will be responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements. We regret that no further bursaries can be awarded, and encourage other participants to seek alternative sources of funding as early as possible if this is likely to be required.
